NBB is a Jewish, not-for-profit, community camp operated by the Jewish Camp Council of Toronto whose Mission Statement is:

We are committed to making residential camp accessible to children in partnership with the Jewish community, and are dedicated to providing a fun and safe environment for campers and staff to build Jewish identity, a love of nature, positive relationships, life skills, and independence.

As you will read in our rich history, there were many organizations that founded the various camps, which ultimately combined to become Camp NBB. These organizations believed strongly in two concepts: summer camp and Judaism.

SUMMER CAMP: Allows children to learn to value nature,to develop interpersonal skills, to support personal growth, and foster independence. Through a full range of activities, children learn skills and develop leadership. Camp also encourages campers to challenge themselves through participation in physical activity.
JUDAISM: Is the faith, culture, and spiritual way of life of the Jewish people, based upon universal justice. Camp NBB is not affiliated with any particular sect or movement, and we are proud that our community camp embraces varying points of views of Jewish practice. Our Judaic programs reflect our commitment to teaching children about and developing pride and spirit for their Jewish culture.
