Evan Roth
Assistant Director of Operations

The summer of 2018 will be Evan’s 20th summer at NBB! As Camp Northland’s operations and logistics guru, Evan oversees a number of different areas and behind-the-scene elements of our amazing camp. Evan spends most of this time interviewing staff candidates, putting together the camp calendar, working with our amazing vendors and suppliers, overseeing and taking care of our rental groups, and sharing all of our amazing camp news and updates on social media. Evan is also very involved as a volunteer with the Ontario Camps Association (OCA) as a member of the annual conference committee for camp professionals, the annual counsellor conference committee, and is also a senior standards visitor. Evan is also a volunteer Chapter Advisor with BBYO Ontario (KVK #5003 Richmond Hill). Beginning at age 13, Evan worked part-time for just over 10 years at Centre Street Deli (who generously gave him the summers off for camp) while going through high school and university. He also worked in the York Region District School Board in reading recovery. Alongside being an aviation enthusiast, he is a passionate Blue Jays, Maple Leafs, and Raptors fan.

Evan has not missed a summer since starting his camp journey as a camper in Section 1 Cabin 2 in 1999. He was hired as a junior counsellor on Landsports in 2007, and became the Head of Landsports in 2010. Evan was promoted to the role of CIT Director in 2012, and took on another challenge as the Head of Sections 1 and 2 in 2013. In September of that same year, Evan was hired on part-time as our Media and Recruitment Associate. It was in 2014 that he took on the role of Head Specialist over the summer which lead to Evan being hired full-time (his dream come true). You can reach Evan at evan@campnbb.com or call the office at 905-881-0018 ext. 303.
